What are the Google AI Ultra limits, tier by tier?
Google AI Ultra comes in two tiers, and Google prints a number for most of its limits except the one people pay for: chat in the Gemini app. We compiled this table on 25 October 2026 from Google's US subscriptions page and the help pages named under it, for a personal account in the US. AI Pro is there for scale.
| Limit, as of 25 October 2026 | Google AI Pro ($19.99) | Ultra ($99.99) | Ultra ($199.99) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini app usage | 4x standard | 5x AI Pro (20x standard) | 20x AI Pro (80x standard) |
| Refill | Every 5 hours, to a weekly cap | Every 5 hours, to a weekly cap | Every 5 hours, to a weekly cap |
| Price per standard allowance | $5.00 | $5.00 | $2.50 |
| Context window in the Gemini app | 1M tokens | 1M tokens | 1M tokens |
| Uploads per prompt | 10 files, 1 hour of video, 3 hours of audio | Same | Same |
| Flow credits a month | 1,000 | 10,000 | 25,000 |
| Flow credits a day, every account | 50 | 50 | 50 |
| Veo 3.1 Fast clip in Flow | 20 credits | 10 credits | 10 credits |
| Veo 3.1 Lite clip, lower priority | Not available | 0 credits | 0 credits |
| 4K upscaling in Flow | Not available | 50 credits | 50 credits |
| Gemini Notebook notebooks | 500 | 500 | 500 |
| Sources per notebook | 300 | 500 | 600 |
| Jules tasks, rolling 24 hours | 100, 15 at once | 300, 60 at once | 300, 60 at once |
| Antigravity agent | "Entry rate limits" | "Higher rate limits" | "Highest rate limits" |
| Cloud storage | 5 TB | 20 TB | 30 TB |
The meter and context rows come from Google's Gemini limits page, which puts Ultra at "5x or 20x higher than AI Pro limits depending on your subscription". The upload row is from its upload page, and the Flow rows from the Flow credits page. Notebooks and sources come from the Notebook plans page, Jules from its limits page, and storage from Google One's plan table. We worked out the price per allowance ourselves: $99.99 over 20 and $19.99 over 4 both come to $5.00, and $199.99 over 80 comes to $2.50.
What does the $199.99 Ultra add over the $99.99 Ultra?
The $199.99 Ultra doubles the price and quadruples only one thing, the Gemini app allowance. Every other limit Google prints grows by less than the price does, or not at all.
So the second $100 is a chat and coding purchase. Google's I/O post of 19 May 2026 gave the $200 plan "a 20X higher usage limit in the Gemini app and Google Antigravity than our Pro plan", and the same multiple shows up in both products. If you mostly make video, the math flips. The $99.99 tier gets 100 Flow credits per dollar, and the $199.99 tier gets 125, which is only a quarter more for twice the bill.
Two things on the $199.99 plan don't scale at all. Jules counts 300 tasks a day and 60 at once on either Ultra plan. And Google One's table gives both of the Ultra tiers 30,000 Flow Music credits a month. If those are the tools you use, the $99.99 Ultra already gets you to the ceiling.
How many prompts a day does Google AI Ultra give you?
Google AI Ultra has no daily prompt count as of October 2026. Google meters the Gemini app on compute, and its limits page says: "Your limit refreshes every 5 hours until you reach your weekly limit." Google never says how big the standard limit is, so when it gives you 5x or 20x of Pro, it's a multiple of something you can't see. The page also warns that limits "may change without notice, including due to capacity constraints."
Google did print counts until May 2026. In September 2025 its limits page gave Ultra "Up to 500 prompts per day" on Gemini Pro. It also allowed up to 200 Deep Research reports a day, 10 Deep Think prompts and 5 Veo 3 videos, as Gigazine recorded. Ultra cost $249.99 back then. On 17 May 2026 Google moved the personal Gemini app to compute limits, per its model access page. Two days later it added the $99.99 tier and cut the top one to $199.99.
Google itself lists the things that will empty the meter fastest. Its model page names "Media generation", Deep Research, the Pro model, and "Extended thinking and Deep Think." The limits page rates video as the heaviest: it "generally requires the most usage." Deep Think also reads less than the plan's 1M window. Google's upload page says "If you use Deep Think, there is a 192 thousand token window." Long chats cost more too, so a new topic belongs in a new chat.
How many Veo videos can you make with Google AI Ultra?
Google AI Ultra buys 1,000 Veo Fast clips a month on the $99.99 plan and 2,500 on the $199.99 plan, at Flow's Ultra price of 10 credits a clip. Every account adds 50 credits a day on top. Google's Flow credits page lists the costs, and Ultra pays half of what other plans pay for Lite and Fast:
| What you make in Flow | Credits each on Ultra | From 10,000 credits | From 25,000 credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Veo 3.1 Lite clip, lower priority | 0 | No count | No count |
| Veo 3.1 Lite clip | 5 | 2,000 | 5,000 |
| Veo 3.1 Fast clip | 10 | 1,000 | 2,500 |
| Veo 3.1 Quality clip, 8 seconds | 100 | 100 | 250 |
| Gemini Omni Flash, 8 seconds at 720p | 12 | 833 | 2,083 |
| Gemini Omni Flash edit | 40 | 250 | 625 |
| 4K upscale | 50 | 200 | 500 |
The 0 credit row is the one Ultra perk with no counterpart on Pro. Google lists the lower priority Veo Lite clip at 0 credits for "Ultra subscribers & family plan managers". If you're a family member on someone else's Ultra plan, you don't get it, and nobody on Pro can buy it. Quality clips get no Ultra discount: 100 credits "All users".
Credits don't carry over. "Unused monthly Google Flow credits do not roll over to the next month," the page says, and the monthly batch refreshes at the start of your billing cycle. The daily 50 refresh a day after your first generation. Google also counts per generation, not per request, so one prompt that returns 2 videos costs twice. A video that you make inside the Gemini app works differently. It has no credit price, and it comes out of the same 5 hour meter as your chats.
What are the Google AI Ultra limits in Antigravity and Jules?
Google AI Ultra gets the highest Antigravity quota and 300 Jules tasks a day, and only Ultra can run third party models in Antigravity. Google's Antigravity plans page gives Ultra "The highest, most generous quota, refreshed every five hours" and "The highest weekly rate limits." For Pro it writes "refreshed every five hours until the weekly limit is reached."
That gap in the wording has confused some of the people who pay for Ultra. A thread on Google's developer forum from April 2026 is titled "AI Ultra advertises a 5-hour quota reset with no weekly cap". The poster says the quota shrank across days anyway. Google's page now names a weekly rate limit for Ultra too, so plan for one. Once the quota runs out, Pro and Ultra can spend purchased AI credits at Gemini Enterprise rates, if you set AI Credit Overages to Always.
Jules is a lot simpler than that. Its limits page gives "Jules in Ultra" 300 tasks over a rolling 24 hours and 60 running at once, against 100 and 15 on Pro. It doesn't split the two Ultra tiers. Family members each get their own count, because Jules task limits "are not shared or pooled."
When do Google AI Ultra limits reset, and where can you check them?
The Gemini app limit on Google AI Ultra refreshes every 5 hours until the weekly cap is spent, and Google doesn't say which day the week starts. To check it, open gemini.google.com, choose Settings at the bottom left, then Usage Limits. When it runs dry, Google's limits page says "you can continue your conversation with Flash-Lite." You can also buy AI credits on top.
The rest of Ultra runs on clocks of its own. Your Flow credits refresh each month with your bill, and the daily 50 come back a day after you first use them. Gemini Notebook says "If your plan is on daily quotas, these reset after 24 hours. Monthly quotas reset after 30 days." Jules counts a rolling 24 hours. Antigravity refills every five hours, under a weekly ceiling. Gemini usage limit reached has the fix for each wall.
Is there a cheaper way to get Gemini Pro on a meter you can count?
Whizi, which publishes this page, sells Gemini by the message instead of by the week. Whizi Pro is $29.99 a month for 2,500 credits, and Gemini Pro costs 10 credits a message there, next to GPT and Claude on the same login (Gemini in Whizi). Credits per message vary by model and can change. It loses to Ultra on almost everything else. Whizi has no Flow, Notebook, Jules or cloud storage, and every plan stops at 60 messages an hour. Pick it if all you wanted from Ultra was more Gemini Pro chat. Keep Ultra if you make video or run Antigravity all week.
Frequently asked questions
Is Google AI Ultra unlimited?
No. Google AI Ultra has a Gemini app meter that refills every 5 hours up to a weekly cap, as of October 2026, at 5x or 20x the Pro allowance. Flow, Jules and Antigravity have their own limits. The closest thing to unlimited is a lower priority Veo Lite clip in Flow, which costs Ultra 0 credits. Google AI Pro limits shows the same meter one tier down.
What is the difference between Google AI Ultra and Pro limits?
Google AI Ultra gets 5x or 20x Pro's Gemini app usage and 10,000 or 25,000 Flow credits a month, where Pro gets 1,000. It also pays half price for Veo Lite and Fast clips, runs 300 Jules tasks a day instead of 100, and comes with 20 or 30 TB of storage instead of 5 TB. The context window is 1M tokens on both. Is Google AI Ultra worth it works out who needs the jump.
How many Deep Research reports can Google AI Ultra run?
Google prints no Deep Research count for Ultra as of October 2026. Reports spend the shared 5 hour Gemini meter, and Google rates Deep Research as a high cost feature. The last printed figure, from September 2025, was up to 200 reports a day. Gemini Deep Research limit traces how that count disappeared.
Can I share Google AI Ultra limits with my family?
Partly. Google lets you share AI credits with your Google One family group, but Jules task limits "are not shared or pooled", and the 0 credit Veo Lite clips are for the plan manager only. Only the manager can buy credits or change the plan. If you're leaving Google's plans entirely, how to delete a Gemini account covers what you lose.
