Which AI assistant can use every major model? Whizi, with 11 labs on one plan
No other assistant on this list reaches more than seven labs on one plan. We counted the labs whose models each chat assistant lets you pick by name, from each company's own model list on 31 October 2026:
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini answer with their maker's models and nobody else's. Perplexity Pro is the runner up at seven labs, per its help center list dated 27 October 2026. It stops at Claude Sonnet 5.5, though. Claude Opus 5.5 waits on Max, which is $200 in the App Store. Whizi Pro carries Claude Opus and Sonnet, ChatGPT Sol, Gemini Flash, Grok, DeepSeek, Kimi, Llama, Mistral, Qwen, GLM and Perplexity Sonar. Powerhouse opens the whole catalog.
That reach is why we rank it first. If you buy the three big assistants one by one, you'll pay $59.98 a month in the US App Store: ChatGPT Plus at $19.99, Claude Pro at $20.00 and Google AI Pro at $19.99. Whizi Pro is $29.99 a month on whizi.io, or $19.99 a month billed yearly. On the website you can send one prompt to two models in side by side columns. Credits per message vary by model and can change.
Here's where Whizi loses. It can't run your phone. Neither app has a Siri action, a home screen widget or an Android assistant slot, and there's no iPad version. It went live in the App Store on 26 August 2026 and had 3 US ratings on 31 October, against 11,775,790 for ChatGPT. Voice mode is paid only. Video and music need Powerhouse at $49.99. And if you only ever use one AI, keep that one: Claude Pro alone costs less than Whizi Pro.
What are the 10 best AI assistants, ranked?
Whizi ranks first for reach. After it come the assistants that each win one kind of help: ChatGPT for everyday chat, Gemini on Android, Siri on iPhone and Alexa+ at home. Every price below comes from the US App Store or the company's own pricing page, read on 31 October 2026:
| Rank | Assistant | Best for | Free plan | Paid price (US) | Where it loses |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Whizi | One assistant with models from 11 AI labs | 10 messages a day | Pro $29.99 a month on whizi.io | Can't control your phone, and 3 App Store ratings |
| 2 | ChatGPT | Everyday chat, voice and images | Yes | Go $8, Plus $19.99 | OpenAI models only |
| 3 | Google Gemini | Android phones and Google apps | Yes, with Gemini Live and images | Google AI Plus $4.99, AI Pro $19.99 | Google models only |
| 4 | Siri | Acting inside iPhone apps | Included on supported devices, with daily limits | No price yet | Beta in iOS 27, iPhone 15 Pro or later |
| 5 | Alexa+ | Smart home, takeout and bookings | Text chat, limited by use | $19.99 a month, free with Prime | The full version needs Prime or a paid plan |
| 6 | Claude | Writing with your Gmail, Drive and Calendar | Yes | Pro $20, Max $124.99 | Anthropic models only |
| 7 | Microsoft Copilot | Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams | Yes | Microsoft 365 Personal $9.99, Premium $19.99 | Paid tiers are Microsoft 365 bundles |
| 8 | Perplexity | Answers with sources, 7 labs on Pro | Yes | Pro $20, Max $200 | Claude Opus needs Max |
| 9 | Reclaim | Habits, focus time and meetings on your calendar | Lite is free | Starter $10 a seat a month yearly, $12 monthly | A scheduler, not a chat assistant |
| 10 | Motion | Planning a work day from your task list | Free trial only | Pro AI $19 a seat a month | No free plan |
We kept voice assistants, chat assistants and calendar tools on one list because Google does. The top results for this search mix Siri and Alexa with ChatGPT and with planners like Motion and Reclaim. Pi, from Inflection, is free and still updated, but it had 2,534 US ratings on 31 October, so it sits out. ChatGPT's 11.8 million ratings are nearly twice the Amazon Alexa app's 5.9 million. They're almost five times Gemini's 2.4 million.
Which AI assistant is best for your phone and home? Siri, Gemini and Alexa+
Siri is the best assistant on an iPhone, because it's the only one that acts inside Apple's own apps. Apple's Apple Intelligence page says "Siri AI can take actions in apps like Messages, Music, Reminders, and more based on what you're doing in the moment." There are catches. Siri AI is a beta in iOS 27, and it needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later. Apple says it "will not be initially available in the EU on iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS." It's free for now, with daily limits on server features, and Apple warns that "Expanded access to such features will be available for a fee in the future."
On Android, Gemini is the assistant. Google wrote in March 2025 that "the classic Google Assistant will no longer be accessible on most mobile devices." Its help page lists what Gemini does from the phone. It sends a message or turns on your lights by voice, answers a call on some devices, and answers questions about whatever is on your screen.
At home, Alexa+ wins. Amazon says it's free for Prime members and $19.99 a month for everyone else, plus a free text chat that's "limited based on use." The Alexa app controls compatible lights, locks and thermostats, and Alexa+ can order takeout and make reservations. No chat app on this list does any of that, Whizi included. For a phone by phone pick, see the best AI app for Android and the best AI app for iPhone.
Which AI assistant is best for work? Claude for Google users, Copilot for Microsoft 365
Claude and Copilot are the work picks, and where your files live decides between them. Claude's App Store listing says you can "Connect Google Drive, Gmail, and Calendar to bring your own context into the conversation." Copilot "connects to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and more," and Microsoft sells it inside Microsoft 365 plans, from $9.99 a month for Personal to $19.99 for Premium. Skip the $1.99 Basic plan if you want Copilot: Microsoft says "AI features are not available in Microsoft 365 Basic."
If your problem is time, not text, a calendar assistant fits better. Reclaim books habits, focus time and meetings onto Google or Outlook calendars. Its Lite plan is free, and Starter costs $10 a seat a month billed yearly or $12 monthly, per its pricing page. Motion plans your day from your task list. Its Pro AI plan is $19 a seat a month, and it offers a free trial but no free plan.
Perplexity is the research pick. Its listing promises "Accurate answers to any question, backed by sources and citations," and Pro costs $20. We checked ten assistant apps against eight jobs, from Excel files to video, in our AI assistant app ranking.
What is the best free AI assistant? Gemini
Gemini has the strongest free plan of any assistant here. Google's plan page lists Gemini Live, Deep Research and "Image generation and editing" on Free, which runs Google's lightest Flash model. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot and Perplexity are free to download too. Alexa+ costs nothing extra if you already pay for Prime, and Reclaim's Lite plan is free.
Whizi's free tier is the thinnest. You get 10 messages a day on Whizi AI, Auto or Claude Haiku 5.5, plus 2 pictures a month. There's no voice. If one free plan covers you, stay on it.
- Pick a device assistant for your phone and home: Siri on iPhone, Gemini on Android, Alexa+ for a smart home
- Pick a chat assistant for questions and writing, and start on its free plan
- Add up what you pay for AI each month before buying another plan
- Choose a multi model assistant only if you'd otherwise pay for two labs
- Check the rating count, not just the stars: a 5.0 from 3 ratings proves nothing yet
Frequently asked questions
Is Gemini better than Siri?
On Android and for open questions, Gemini is better. On an iPhone, Siri is the assistant that acts inside Messages, Music and Reminders. Siri AI is still a beta in iOS 27 and needs an iPhone 15 Pro or later, while the Gemini iPhone app needs iOS 18.2.
Is ChatGPT the best AI assistant?
ChatGPT is the most popular one. It had 11,775,790 US App Store ratings on 31 October 2026, the most of any assistant here. It loses on reach: Plus at $19.99 buys OpenAI's models only, so Claude or Gemini means a second plan. Our ChatGPT pricing page lists every plan.
Is Alexa+ free?
Alexa+ is free for Prime members. Everyone else pays $19.99 a month, or uses a free text chat that Amazon limits by use, as of 31 October 2026.
Is there one AI assistant with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini?
Yes. Whizi and Perplexity both reach all three. Whizi Pro adds eight more labs for $29.99 a month, and Perplexity Pro reaches seven labs for $20 but stops at Claude Sonnet. ChatGPT and Claude in one app covers what moves between them.
