ChatGPT Business price by country: 51 markets read, $17.98 to $21.64 a seat before tax

How much does ChatGPT Business cost in each country?

In 43 of the 51 countries we read, OpenAI prices a Business seat in local currency. The other eight pay US$20 or US$25, like an American. Monthly billing costs 20% more than annual in the UK, 25% more in the US and 30% more in Brazil. The chart shows eight of the most searched markets in US dollars, before tax, at the European Central Bank's 30 October 2026 rates.

The spread is small. Every country we could convert lands within 11% of the US $20, and South Korea is the only one above $21. That's a tighter band than Plus, where the Plus price by country ran from $15.63 to $22.64 before tax when we read it on 11 October 2026.

The table lists all 51 countries, ranked by the annual seat in US dollars before tax. Prices are per seat per month, read on 31 October 2026 from OpenAI's own checkout prices for each country, as its pricing page shows them. Business is quoted before tax everywhere except the euro area, Switzerland and Peru, so the dollar column takes VAT out of those rows.

Ten rows stay in local currency because the ECB doesn't publish a reference rate for them. Bangladesh is on OpenAI's list of supported billing currencies, but the Business price it gets is in US dollars, not taka. Whether you'll pay the listed tax depends on how your business is registered, which no OpenAI page we opened spells out.

Is a ChatGPT Business seat cheaper than Plus in your country?

Yes in 30 of the 51 countries, before tax. A UK Business seat on annual billing is £15 a month, and Plus is £16.67 once its 20% VAT comes out. Business costs more in 12 countries, including the Philippines, India, Japan and South Korea, and Brazil by ten centavos (R$100 against R$99.90). In the eight markets OpenAI bills in US dollars, both cost $20. We left Israel out, because OpenAI's data lists no tax rate there.

Don't read the cheaper rows as a reason for one person to switch. OpenAI's Business overview says a workspace "requires at least 2 Standard or Premium seats in total." So a solo buyer in Malaysia pays RM156 a month before tax for two annual seats, against RM92.50 for Plus. At two people the cheaper rows win. Two UK seats on annual billing cost £360 a year before VAT. Two Plus accounts cost £400 before VAT.

The Philippines is different. Two annual Business seats cost ₱27,600 a year before tax, and two Plus accounts ₱23,571 before tax (₱26,400 with it). A Filipino team pays about 17% more per head for Business. What the extra buys, from training off by default to SSO, is in ChatGPT Business vs Plus.

How much is ChatGPT Business per user per year?

In the US, a year of one Standard seat is $240 on annual billing and $300 on monthly billing. The minimum workspace is two seats, so a new team pays at least $480 a year. Here's the same two-seat minimum in the countries people search most, before tax unless the row says otherwise.

A Premium seat is five Standard seats in every country we read, to the unit: US$100 against US$20, RM390 against RM78, ₹9,000 against ₹1,800. OpenAI says Premium gets "5x more usage than Standard seats" with no five-hour limit. Annual billing is a commitment, though. OpenAI's billing page says "added seats remain committed through the end of the current annual term." Enterprise, the tier above Business, has no listed price: its pricing page sends buyers to sales.

Whizi, which publishes this page, has nothing to sell a team here. It has no seats, no admin console and no shared workspace, so two people means two separate accounts (team accounts). Does the ChatGPT Business price include VAT or GST?

No, not in most countries. In 40 of the 51, OpenAI's data quotes Business before tax. Where it lists a rate, it's 20% in the UK, 18% in India, 12% in the Philippines and 8% in Malaysia. Plus works the other way in most of those markets, where the ChatGPT Plus price you see already has VAT in it. That's why a £15 Business seat and £20 Plus are closer than they look.

The euro area is the exception. It's VAT-inclusive. OpenAI charges €21 a seat on annual billing in every euro country we read, from Germany and France to Greece and Portugal, with VAT already inside it, so the amount OpenAI keeps after tax moves with each country's own rate. Before tax, that's €17.65 in Germany at 19% VAT and €16.94 in Greece at 24%. Switzerland (CHF 16.22, with 8.1% VAT) and Peru (S/79.06, with 18%) also quote with tax in.

OpenAI's own help page warns about this. Its Business overview says: "For most countries, pricing (USD) is $25 per user per month if billed monthly and $20 per user per month if billed annually. Note that pricing may vary depending on your country and currency type." The table above is what "may vary" meant on 31 October 2026.

Is ChatGPT Team the same price as ChatGPT Business?

Yes. ChatGPT Team was renamed ChatGPT Business on 29 August 2025, and OpenAI's general FAQ says the rename "did not change the plan's features, pricing, or usage limits." The price changed later. Team launched on 10 January 2024 at "$25/month per user when billed annually, or $30/month per user when billed monthly," per OpenAI's launch post.

On 2 April 2026 OpenAI cut it. The Business release notes say it was "reducing the price of subscription-based ChatGPT seats by USD $5 / month (actual reduction may depend on pricing in your region)." So a US seat went from $25 to $20 on annual billing and from $30 to $25 on monthly. A Team price you find in a 2024 or 2025 article is the old one.

You can't buy Business in the ChatGPT app. Apple's ChatGPT listing sells Go, Plus and three Pro tiers, and the Malaysian and UK storefronts list the same, with no Business or Team line. A workspace is bought on chatgpt.com, where OpenAI's multi-currency billing page lists 67 currencies it can charge. Local payment methods are a separate list, in ChatGPT payment methods.

How were these prices read?

Whizi Research read OpenAI's own checkout prices for each country on 31 October 2026. They're the same figures chatgpt.com's pricing page shows a visitor from that country, and we read them one country at a time and kept every response, so each number here can be checked later. They give the Standard and Premium seat price for monthly and annual billing, the currency, the tax rate and whether tax is in the price. We read 51 countries in one pass and checked the US row against OpenAI's help pages ($25 monthly, $20 annual).

Dollar figures use the ECB's euro reference rates of 30 October 2026 (US$1.1172 to the euro), crossed through the dollar and rounded to the cent.
