Where do you cancel Suno? Where you paid for it
You cancel Suno where you paid for it. A plan bought on suno.com ends at suno.com/account. A plan bought in the iPhone or Android app ends in Apple's or Google's subscription settings, and Suno's cancellation help page says it "may not be able to assist" with those purchases.
| How you pay Suno | Where you cancel | Who handles a refund request |
|---|---|---|
| suno.com (card billed through Stripe) | suno.com/account, Cancel Subscription | Suno, at [email protected] |
| iPhone or iPad app (App Store) | Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Suno | Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com |
| Android app (Google Play) | Settings, Google, Manage your Google Account, Payments & subscriptions, Manage subscriptions, Suno | Google Play, under its refund policies |
On suno.com:
- Log in at suno.com with the account that pays.
- Open suno.com/account.
- Click Cancel Subscription at the top of the page.
- Confirm the change. Suno asks before it goes through.
- No button? Click Update Payment on the same page. It opens Suno's Stripe billing portal, where you can cancel as well.
On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Suno, and tap Cancel Subscription. On Android, start in Settings, tap Google and your name, then Manage your Google Account. From there it's Payments & subscriptions, Manage subscriptions, Suno and Cancel Subscription.
Your plan doesn't stop that day. Suno's terms of service say you keep the paid service "through the end of the subscription period for which payment has already been made." So cancel before the renewal date, or the next period bills. The terms also accept a cancel request sent by email to [email protected].
Download your songs before you cancel Suno: Pro allows 20 a month
Download the songs you care about before the plan ends, because Suno now ties commercial rights to the download. Under the terms that took effect on September 3, 2026, you "may not commercially exploit Output that has not been downloaded by you." Pro includes 20 downloads a month and Premier 60.
That cap is small next to what the credits make. Suno's v6 FAQ says each generation makes two songs for 10 credits. So Pro's 2,500 monthly credits make about 500 songs, and Premier's 10,000 make about 2,000, at standard settings. As of October 2026, a Pro subscriber can download 4% of what a month of credits makes. On Premier it's 3%.
Spend the last cycle's downloads with Suno's own counting rules in mind, from its download help pages:
- One song is one download, whatever the number of formats, and its stems come with it.
- Downloading the same song again doesn't use another download.
- Older songs count too: a song made before September 3 uses a download the first time you take it.
- Unused downloads don't roll over. They reset on your billing date.
- WAV files are for Pro and Premier only, so take the WAV now if you'll ever need it.
Two other balances die with the plan. Top up credits never expire, but Suno's pricing page says they "require an active subscription to use." And Premier users get no download limit inside Suno Studio workflows, so a big project is easiest to move out through a Studio export before the plan lapses.
What happens to your Suno songs after you cancel?
Your songs stay in your library. Suno's August 2026 terms post says every song "stays playable and shareable on Suno, on every plan." What changes is what you can do with new songs, and with the paid songs you never downloaded.
| After you cancel Suno | What happens |
|---|---|
| Songs in your library | Stay playable and shareable |
| Songs you downloaded while subscribed | Keep commercial rights for good |
| Songs made on the plan but never downloaded | Still yours, but commercial use needs a download on a paid plan |
| Monthly credits left | Usable until the paid period ends, then gone |
| Top up credits | Kept, but locked until you subscribe again |
| Download packs you bought | Roll over |
| Your plan | Reverts to the free plan: 50 credits a day on v6-mini |
| New songs after the plan ends | Personal, non-commercial use only |
The rights on a download don't expire. Suno's terms say they're "perpetual" and not affected by the "expiry, cancellation, downgrade or suspension of your subscription." Ownership holds as well. Suno's ownership page says a song made while you were on Pro or Premier is yours, and you keep that after you cancel.
Free songs work differently. Suno keeps ownership of songs made on the free plan, and subscribing later doesn't add commercial rights to them, per its rights page. After the plan ends, Suno's credits page says new songs aren't eligible for commercial use.
Deleting the account is a separate step, and a permanent one. Suno's account deletion page says songs and personal details "will not be recoverable." Cancel first. Delete only if you're sure.
Can you get a refund from Suno?
Usually not. Suno's terms say payments are "final and non-refundable, unless otherwise determined by Suno," and its refund page lists the cases where Suno does decide otherwise.
| Your situation | Suno's answer, per its refund page |
|---|---|
| Paid for a year when you meant a month | Moves you to monthly, with a partial refund |
| Paid, but never used it (zero songs in the account) | Likely to help with a refund |
| Long outage or a broken feature | Extra credits that carry over, not cash |
| Used it for months, then changed your mind | No refund: cancel and keep access to the end of the cycle |
| Used it on and off for months | No refund for the months you didn't use |
| Only a day or two since you paid | Email [email protected] |
Suno's terms also say nothing in that section limits refunds you're owed by law. App purchases follow the store's rules. Apple takes requests at reportaproblem.apple.com, under I'd like to, then Request a refund, and Apple's refund page says to expect an update in 24 to 48 hours. Google Play purchases fall under Google Play's refund policies.
A yearly plan doesn't end early when you cancel. You keep access until the paid year runs out. Until then, Suno tops up credits and downloads each month on your original purchase date, per its paid rights page.
Is it cheaper to cancel Suno between projects?
Yes, and Suno itself tells occasional users to stop paying between projects. Its refund page encourages you to cancel "anytime you won't be using Suno," then resubscribe when you need more than the free credits. Nothing you made is lost in between.
| Suno plan, as of October 2026 | Monthly | Billed yearly | Credits | About how many songs | Downloads a month |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 50 a day | 10 a day | None |
| Pro | $10 | $96 ($8 a month) | 2,500 a month | 500 a month | 20 |
| Premier | $30 (derived) | $288 ($24 a month) | 10,000 a month | 2,000 a month | 60 |
Pro costs a third of Premier and downloads a third as many songs. So a Premier subscriber who never opens Suno Studio pays $20 a month more for 40 extra downloads. The yearly prices come from Suno's pricing page, which shows $8 and $24 a month billed yearly, saving $24 and $72 a year. That puts monthly billing at $10 for Pro, which Suno's rights page also states, and $30 for Premier, which we worked out from the $72 saving.
If you only made the odd short song, a chat subscription may cover it. Whizi Powerhouse, at $49.99 a month, has two music models next to Claude, GPT and Gemini, and a song spends 15 of its 10,000 monthly credits. It loses to Suno on music, though: songs run 30 to 150 seconds, each comes back as one MP3 with no stems, and Whizi keeps generated files for 30 days. On price alone, Suno Pro at $10 is the cheaper music tool.
- Check who bills you: suno.com, the App Store or Google Play
- Spend this cycle's 20 Pro or 60 Premier downloads on the songs you might release
- Take the WAV files now, since WAV downloads are for paid plans only
- Use any top up credits, which need an active subscription
- Cancel before the renewal date, then keep using the plan until the paid period ends
Frequently asked questions
Does cancelling Suno delete my songs?
No. Suno says every song stays playable and shareable on every plan, and songs made while you paid stay yours. Only downloads made while you're subscribed carry commercial rights, so take those first. If you'd rather pay one bill for chat, images and music, all-in-one AI platforms compares what each one bundles.
Can I get a refund on a Suno annual plan?
Only in narrow cases. Suno partly refunds a yearly plan bought by mistake instead of a monthly one, and otherwise its payments are final. Cancelling a yearly plan keeps your access to the end of the paid year. Getting a refund on an AI subscription covers the Apple and Google Play routes too.
How do I cancel Suno on iPhone?
Open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap Suno and choose Cancel Subscription. Apple bills App Store plans, and Suno says it can typically change only plans bought through its own billing. The same Settings path cancels other App Store plans, as cancelling ChatGPT Plus shows.
How do I get my Suno invoices after I cancel?
Use Suno's Stripe billing login. You enter your account email, and Stripe sends a login link that works for 30 minutes, per Suno's billing help. If you're cutting several AI bills at once, the AI savings calculator adds up what each one costs.
